Leland to Honor Veterans at Founders’ Day Opening Ceremony

The Town of Leland invites all local veterans to participate in the 28th Anniversary Founders' Day Opening Ceremonies on Saturday, September 9. Veterans are asked to check in at the Guest Services booth at the festival entrance (102 Town Hall Dr.) no later than 2:45 pm. Veterans will be seated in a special viewing area where they will be recognized for their service during the opening ceremonies at 3 pm.

NO parking will be available on site, but Park and Ride shuttles will be available at North Brunswick High School beginning at 2:30 pm. For those Veterans unable to ride the shuttle, please contact Leland Parks and Recreation for drop off information.

In addition to the patriotic opening ceremonies, the Founders’ Day event will feature carnival rides, entertainment, food trucks and vendors, arts and crafts/business vendors, fireworks and more. The event will run from 3 pm until 9 pm and will feature special musical performances by Johnny White and the Elite Band, Justin Cody Fox and the Across the Bridge Band.

The community is also asked to bring canned and non-perishable food for a food drive benefitting the local food pantry.
