North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce Holds Annual Banquet

On Wednesday, June 21 the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce held its annual banquet at the Barn at Rock Creek in Leland. Over 90 people attended to celebrate their 15 year business anniversary.

Bobby Harrelson, long time real estate developer in the region and developer of Compass Pointe and Waterford, along with Ezra Dale, long time Leland developer and resident who is responsible for numerous shopping centers along the consistently growing Village Road area of Leland, received the Milestone Award for helping lay the foundation of northern Brunswick County.

The North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce also gave out their annual awards. Award winners were voted on by the chamber membership. The Business of the Year was awarded to BodyTherapy, Inc., New Chamber Member Business of the Year went to JonDough Donuts and Leland Area Rotary Club received the Non-Profit of the Year Award. Individual awards were presented to Fran & Walk Denninger for Volunteers of the Year, Brenda Hewlett for Humanitarian of the Year, Mason Marshall for Door of Opportunity Award and Glenda Browning for the Audrey Award.

New and past board members were also recognized. New board members include: Martha Jackson with South State Bank, who will be the new President; Ryan Bruff with Atlantic Bay Mortgage; Dan Kern with Strategic Behavioral Health; Brandon Korman with Tropical Smoothie Cafe; Suzanne West with First Bank and Tyler Wittkofsky with H2GO. Outgoing board members are Michael Braddock II with Brunswick Forest, who served as the past President; James Diaz with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty; Bob Heinz with ASG Specialites; WC Lanier with Lanier Expos and Daniel Pedroni with North State Bank Mortgage.
